Think of IVMS as a desktop computer. If you have a C.P.U, a computer screen, a keyboard and a mouse, you have a sufficient package as far as desktop computers go. You can do a lot with those components.
However, there are situations in which you may find it convenient or even necessary to connect a printer or a hard drive or even speakers to play some music while you work.
